Revamped: Updating the Debut EP
After a tumultuous two years (pausing my music career and focusing on my shoulder recovery), I wanted to ease back into music. I wasn’t sure where to begin. Should I pick up where I left off with electro-pop like My Own Advice EP or should I return to my comfort genre? I decided on the latter.
When You Fall (Revamped) EP is an updated rock version of my debut songs. They were all written in my late high school/early college years and were recorded with my small college band consisting of drums, guitar, bass, and piano. For what we had, the instruments all blended beautifully and worked together well. It wasn’t until I began working on larger songs that I realized how much more I could put into them to make them grow. They were hovering just underneath where I now feel they deserve to be. As I gained experience in recording, I then learned how to bring songs up to that new level. It’s this creativity that I really wanted to explore, and it’s something I wanted others to enjoy with me. So, what better way to reintroduce myself as an artist than to revisit what made me fall in love with singing and songwriting.
I released “No Sleep (Revamped)” in November and “A Walk Inside (Revamped)” in December. The next two releases will be in January and February. I will also put out biweekly articles on the songwriting and recording process for these songs. I am very excited to share these definitive versions with all of you. If you haven’t signed up on my website for email updates, PLEASE DO as I will be posting releases and updates on a regular basis. Brand new songs will also be arriving soon as well. More on that later! FOLLOW ME on socials, SPOTIFY, and APPLE MUSIC! It really helps so that you can all be the first to hear the music I release.
